Lowestoft Library

Where is the Library?

The library is in the town centre next to the market and the Britten Centre on Clapham Road South.

What is in the Library?

The library has lots to choose from. For children their is the children's library full of toys and games, dressing up costumes, books, and  computers for the children to use.

For the teenagers there is a teenage library with comfy chairs, magazines, books and computers for teenagers to use. For the adults there are computers, books, magazines and newspapers to use. You can also borrow books, story tapes, videos and DVDs to take home and use.

If you want a break you can go to Pages Coffee Shop on the ground floor of the library which serves hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Special Events

We also run special activities for children in the library. One Sunday every month there is Surf Sunday, themed computer, art and craft fun for young children and their families. These are free but you need to book your place as Surf Sundays are very popular.
